Elizabeth: (that's me!)
I started out as an intern for Lorraine Torrence (of Lorraine Torrence Designs, Grainline Gear, and most recently Seams Like A Natural Fit) when Sewn Square One Patterns was just an idea that Lorraine had. I am also responsible for designing the Swing Shift, Skirt Smarts, and Triple Play Top patterns. Now the proprietor of Sewn Square One I take on as many tasks as possible and am the moderator of our social media pages:
Another substantial contributor to the Sewn aesthetic, Gina too models and designs for us. The Go Anywhere Dress and Paper Bag Pants designs are her first offerings for Sewn.
Ruth is responsible for the 5th and 6th designs in our pattern company launch. Upline Jacket and Small Change. Ruth is also a talented Grainline Gear designer.
Lorraine is a veteran Quilt-maker, Wearable Artist, & Teacher. Over the last 35+ years she has lived and breathed sewing, racking up loads of frequent flier miles criss-crossing the country teaching to local guilds and quilt shops, authoring books on design for quilt artists, crafting award-winning garments, judging wearables contests and running Lorraine Torrence Designs, Grainline Gear, and most recently Seams Like A Natural Fit.
